Who We ARe
Waikato Hedge Trimming is a locally owned and operated hedge trimming business. We specialise in hedge trimming up to 6m high and hedge topping up to 5m high. We can also offer section clearing and cantilever mowing as we use an Avant Loader with multiple attachments to tidy and maintain properties across all of Waikato.
Our Story
Waikato Hedge Trimming was founded in 2023 by Stacy Cramond. Stacy has a unique employment background, having worked for several years in the pool construction industry. During this period, Stacy was fortunate enough to visit a multitude of properties, building pools for families and businesses throughout the Waikato region. When attending these properties, though, Stacy often noticed overgrown hedges and out-of-control shrubbery. Identifying a need for high-quality, professional hedge trimming solutions, Stacy took matters into his own hands, opening Waikato Hedge Trimming to customers across the region.
About Our Equipment — Avant 635 Loader
With three types of hedge trimmers at our disposal—sickle bar, saw blade, and rotary hedge trimmer—we tailor our approach based on the hedge's characteristics and the client's desired finish. Whether it's overgrown and woody or manicured with thick lush growth, we adapt accordingly.
With cutting flexibility on both sides, articulated vehicle steering, and independent 4WD hydraulic traction, we can easily manoeuvre in restricted areas: between gardens, sheds, and houses. Our machine has ultra-low turf impact due to its independent drive system and total weight of less than 1.8T. This feature ensures lawn protection and minimises disruptions to the ground below.
Our specially designed hydraulic hedge cutter, connected to our agile loader, allows us to easily trim branches up to six metres high and prune the tops of hedges up to five metres high—even in confined areas. We choose to use this equipment because it is compact and lightweight, giving us access to tight spaces often inaccessible by larger machinery.
